We recommend that you read our Refund Policy prior to you making a purchase from us, so you are familiar with this policy and your rights under applicable laws, including the Australian Consumer Law.

We also recommend that you immediately inspect any products we deliver to you or that you collect from us, including that they are of acceptable quality, and match the description we have provided to you.

1.Your rights under Commonwealth and State law

Our products (including the products we provide through our Online Shop) come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under applicable laws, including the Australian Consumer Law.

Under the Australian Consumer Law, if you have a major problem with a product you are entitled to a replacement or refund. A product has a major problem when it is:

  • faulty or not of acceptable quality;
  • significantly different from the description or sample;
  • substantially unfit for its intended purpose; or
  • unsafe.

If you have a minor problem, we reserve the right to offer to repair only, rather than providing a replacement or refund.

2. When you change your mind

Please choose carefully as refunds, returns or exchanges are not normally provided where you have simply changed your mind, made a wrong selection or found cheaper goods elsewhere. We recommend you carefully preview any orders before adding them to your shopping cart and proceeding with your order.

3. Returns and repairs

All refunds, returns and exchanges must be accompanied with your original receipt or other adequate proof of purchase. We are not able to offer exchanges on returned products via our online store.

Products must be returned to us within a reasonable time. This timeframe may vary from product to product and may depend on the type of product you purchased and the price you paid.

We reserve the right not to offer an exchange, refund or repair where the problem with the product is a result of your misuse or neglect.  If the product is found not to have a problem, we may require you to pay the transport and/or assessment costs. We may provide you with an estimate of these costs.

In some circumstances, particularly for equipment and appliances, we may send your returned product to the distributor or manufacturer for assessment and/or repair. Products presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished products of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair products.

4. How to process a return?

5. Privacy

To process a refund, repair or exchange, you will be asked for information that is relevant to your return or to satisfy legislative requirements. If you do not provide this information, then we may be unable to process your refund, repair or exchange. Any personal information we collect in connection with this process will be handled by us in accordance with our privacy policy.

Refunds and cancellations courses

Cancellations notified in writing at least 5 business days before the start of 1 (one), 2 (two) or 3 (three) day short courses are eligible for full refunds; this excludes Guest Chefs and Masterclasses.

Cancellations notified less than 5 business days before our 1 (one), 2 (two) or 3 (three) day short courses will not receive a refund.

Cancellations notified in writing more than 14 business days before the start of our 5 day intensive courses are eligible for full refunds.

Cancellations notified in writing more than 30 business days before the start of our guest chefs and master class courses are eligible for full refunds.

Cancellations notified within 14 business days prior of our 5 day intensive courses will not receive a refund.

Cancellations notified within 30 business days prior of our guest chefs and master classes will not receive a refund.

If a program is cancelled by the Australian Patisserie Academy, you are entitled to a full refund.
